U12 RESULTS 07

4th May 2004

Two u12 teams were entered into the end of season versatility tournament and what a day, it was brilliant, lots of new players to the club turning out.  The B team eventually came third and the A team second but it could have been reversed.  The B team were holding on when they played each other and were not being intimidated by the other girls, this is brilliant especially when 4 of you were u9. look out

3rd Oct v Tadley u12
WIN 18-1

The match was against Tadley U12 who put out a full team. There were just six BUGS U12 players, Alex, Jenny, Beth, Delaney, Rebecca and Isobel, who changed positions for each quarter and won 18:1.

Delaney and Beth shot 3 goals in the 1st quarter and Jenny and Beth added another 7 goals in the 2nd quarter. During the second half of the match Rebecca and Isobel scored another 7 goals and Tadley scored their goal. Unfortunately for Alex and Isobel the 4th quarter was only a few minutes long as the final whistle stopped all play but they still added another goal to the total.

We were all looking forward to the game especially Georgia, Becca, Izzy and Delaney as it was only their second game for the U12?s. We passed very well in the first quarter and second quarter and the pace was fast. By half time the score was 17 ? 0. In the 3rd quarter Stars were gaining confidence and getting more possession of the ball. Grace from Stars finally managed to score a goal. In the last quarter we had all swapped around again (Alex enjoying Centre !) and Starz got another goal to make the final score 33 - 2.
Great shooting by Jenny and excellent passing by all.

14th Nov v Rushmoor U12

LOST 7-15
It was a very tough match but Rushmoor didn?t have it all their own way. We were a bit intimidated by the size of their GS but Jenny and Alex jumped high to get the ball on the rebound. We gained confidence as the match went on. In the first quarter Rushmoor scored 5 goals whilst we scored 1. In the 2nd quarter we met our target of 2 goals but Rushmoor scored 4. The 3rd quarter was our best because Delaney and Isobel scored 2 goals and Rushmoor only scored 1. Finally In the last quarter we scored 2 goals against Rushmoor?s 5.

Beth?s centre bounce passes worked well. Georgie took a nasty fall but bravely carried on. Well done everyone, we?ll win the next match!

30th Jan v Rushmoor u12

Unfortunatley we only played with 6 but we did our best and that is all you can ask. 

U12 Match Report – Wednesday 30^th January 2008

 

 

The match was against Rushmoor U12 who put out a full team and swapped in their reserve players. Unfortunately BUGs were down to six players because Alex had injured her fingers in school netball training the day before. The six BUGS players were Jenny, Beth, Delaney, Rebecca, Izzy and Georgie.

 

 

For the first half of the match Delaney played GS, Beth GA, Rebecca C, Izzy GD, Georgie WD and Jenny GK. Delaney and Beth shot 3 goals and Rushmoor scored 14.

 

 

We had a swap around for the second half of the match - Isobel swapped positions with Rebecca and Georgie swapped with Jenny. Delaney and Beth stayed as the shooters. Another goal was scored for BUGs in the second half but Rushmoor added another 9 goals to their score resulting in a win 33-4 to Rushmoor.

 

 

In spite of the score - we covered the court well and had a lot of possession.
