U14 RESULTS

4th May 2008

This was the end of season versatility tournament and we all had a great day.  Everyone played brilliantly but unfortunately lost one too many games and came third. But most of you still have another year there.

3RD OCT V TADLEY U14
LOST 14-12
The match we played against Tadley was a very tough game indeed. The team that started of the game was: Katie, Jenna, Fleur, Lucy, Holly W, Evie and Sarah. We played well as a team and had some very good interceptions by Evie Lucy and Holly. Some good passes by Katie Jenna and Fleur meant that we were winning in the first quarter. Our winning streak continued as we were winning in the first 3 quarters. The game was very close for the whole game but sadly in the last quarter we let our standard slide as they came into the lead. Overall we played very well and the score was 14-12 to Tadley.

17TH OCT V STARZ
WIN 15-17
We played against Starz and again the match was extremely close. We had been looking forward to this game as we had lost the game before and were keen to try and win this game. The passing was extremely good and at a fast pace, Starz started gaining more confidence as they gained possession of the ball but some amazing interceptions made by Holly C Lucy and Evie. Those interceptions made sure that we got the ball up to our end and shoot by Jenna and Fleur. The 3rd quarter was extremely tough as at one stage they were winning! But we as a team we pulled together and managed to win 15-17.

14th Nov V RUSHMOOR
LOST 14-10
This game, similar to many of the others in this season, was challenging. We kept passing over head and they continually intercepted and were able to score. We made a great start in the first quarter, clean strong passes, getting the ball down our end for Fleur and Sarah to shoot . However, as we continued to play, Rushmoor gained possession and became more confident. We were hit by this and took it badly, our game began to slip and we started to panic, passing the ball without always thinking about how or who it was going to. In the last quarter some great interceptions were made by Lucy but we still couldn?t quite get it back.

Well what a game, you kept at it keeping all spectators on edge.  It was close at the end of every quarter but I think you will all agree that Lucy shooting was excellent.  It gave everyone that lift to keep on going and fighting for something that you deserved.
